The Unknown Revolutionists of internet world (Hacktivists)

Anonymous In 2003, a fifteen year old American boy, Christopher Pool founded an imageboard website 4chen.com. In such a website, anyone can upload images or write comments without showing its identity. Thus imageboard websites differs from facebook and twitter in the sense that there must be original or fake identity shown. The most common visitors of this website founded “Anonymous Group”. And yet today 4chen is the largest center of this group activities.

The members of Anonymous are called Hacktivists. These are hackers which endeavours social, political or religious objectives from spreading through computer technology. The group not only consists of computer related people but of teachers, painters, social workers, journalists etc. May be there are some extremists between them but due to minority, they don’t affect the decisions.

Although many social workers don’t like Anonymous by their way of struggle but many of Analysts thought that Anonymous is the cocktail of different classes of perplex and afflicted people. These classes are anonymous and they think, they can change the world. They called themselves the “Agents of Change”. They strongly compel on “Freedom of Thoughts”. Whenever a government put restrictions on freedom, Anonymous give an indication to war against that government.

In world, whenever a common man rise up for his rights against a government, the cyber world’s free army,Anonymous reach for thier help. For this they attack the government websites to turn the protest on a new way.Anonymous members contects these protesters through social media websites like facebook, twitter, linkedIn etc to able them to connect with each other against the government restrictions. In last few years, Anonymous has a great role in raising up of the perplex and afflicted people of the world.

According to European Governments and especially America, Anonymous is a group of hackers, who attacks government websites but still people like and have sympathy for them. So it means,Anonymous is much like Robinhood character, who was an enemy of mighty, nobles and rich while friend of poor and needy. But Anonymous is somewhat different from Robinhood because this group has no leader and decisions are taken by all members with equal considerations. The second speciality of this group is that every member is unidentified. They don’t know about each other.Due to this speciality, they are named as “Anonymous”.

Internet is one of the biggest weapon of Anonymous. The members have special websites, where they chat with each other, develop plans, and then act upon their plans.Everyone can be part of this group, but he/she must be aware of their idioms, rules, regulations, type of acts and environment.

The trouble in protesting anonymously is that enemies can also take part in the lines of your army to defame you with illegal activities, so it is a big challenge for this group.Since this happened many times in their eleven years history, but people knows what is good and what is bad.Due to which, the popularity of Anonymous is rising day by day.The group consists of about fifty thousand to one lakh members approx. according to FBI.Most of them are computer security experts.

In the beginning,Anonymous was the group of those people, who makes untraditional discussions on traditional topics on different internet chat sites, they were like secret codes. But slowly and gradually,it turned into an ideological unit, which is now doing the virtue to enforce the social justice and freedom of thoughts and to finish up corruption, poverty and ignorance.

Anonymous’s slogan is,
“We are Anonymous,we are legions,we don’t forgive,we don’t forget,expect attack from us”.

  • Update: According to Zetas has hired its own team of harceks to track down and identify Anonymous members causing Anonymous to disavow its threat. However a group of Anonymous hacktivists located overseas appears to intend to make good on it. I guess we’ll find out on Guy Fawkes day. This is an interesting organizational problem. What happens when you have an organization of faceless individuals. Anybody can put on a mask and make a video. How do you know who you are? It has probably been faced by resistance movements since the dawn of authoritarian governments. However, we should be following it because the implications for the blogging world are tremendous. Are we all suddenly going to find ourselves at war with the drug cartels and with organized crime? Will banksters start hiring their underground cohorts to take out bloggers and occupiers? The #occupy movement has evolved into a peaceful revolution, but even peaceful revolutions are threatening to those in power. They rarely let go of their ill-gotten gains willingly.
